Financial Advisor Nico Anduze believes that everyone can take time to realize how fortunate we are. The idea of leaving the world a little better than we found it has always inspired him.

Growing up in Los Angeles, Nico has learned about many of the day-to-day challenges that families endure. He is inspired daily by people who give without expecting anything in return.

He is a board member at the John Wayne Cancer Institute at St. John's Hospital Cancer Survivorship Group . Nico also serves as a Mentor to individuals and families who are going through a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and whatever happens next. He went through cancer not knowing where to turn or what to do, so he volunteers as an experienced resource for individuals going through incredible challenges.

He is also a University of California certified Master Gardener. Master Gardeners are volunteers from the community who are trained by the University of California Cooperative Extension to promote environmentally responsible and sustainable horticultural practices in the home, community, and school landscapes. What has led him to be a Master Gardener, was the desire to deepen his knowledge and ability to teach others how to grow their own food for health and economic reasons.

During this pandemic, Nico is currently mentoring a recent cancer patient and has contributed to the "Big Dig" Day of Service event which happened on 06/05/2020.

Big Dig Day – June 5

UC Agriculture and Natural Resources strives to improve the lives of Californians. Through research and extension in agriculture, natural resource management, and community development, they are a trusted source of information and a partner serving several communities.

On Big Dig Day—a day to ‘dig deep to support the programs you care about’, they invited everyone to support the vital services that sustain CA state, country, and world.

"My hope is that everyone can take the time to realize how fortunate we are. That experience helps direct us to areas that we identify in our communities that need our service. Finding a way to bridge those community needs with our abilities will create opportunities to leave the world a little better than we found it." Nico Anduze.
