Shawn DaCruz is an Investment Advisor Representative with Gerber Kawasaki. Shawn recently relocated to California from New England, where he was born and raised. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Saint Joseph in Hartford, Connecticut.
From an early age, Shawn has held a strong interest in the stock market. While in college, Shawn began trading stocks on his own, realizing his passion for financial investment while studying to become a pharmacist. His devotion grew after finishing his advanced degree as a PharmD. Shawn was caught immersed in market exploration, captivated by complex trading strategies. Shawn quickly became established in social media's financial space, becoming featured in the Wall Street Journal, highlighting his passion and accomplishment in investments through the use of social media. While practicing as a Pharmacist, Shawn found himself creating financial newsletters and establishing an online stock market merchandise shop. His unconventional path to investing through independent study inspired him to reroute his career to work he enjoys both in and outside the office. Shawn aspires to educate and inspire others interested in establishing or expanding their personal portfolio. He holds a special interest in those who are not confident in investment decisions, looking to help navigate and explore options specific to each investor's intrigue.
Shawn was drawn from his east coast roots to Gerber Kawasaki due to a shared interest in impact investing. Both Shawn and his firm are captivated by innovation and development, investing in many disruptive technologies.
Currently residing in Venice, Shawn enjoys spending time outside with his two dogs and fiancée.
