Marc Armstrong is a Tax Director at Gerber Kawasaki Wealth & Investment Management. He is originally from Minnesota but grew up in Pacific Palisades and has lived in Southern California for most of his life. He bleeds cardinal & gold. He received a Bachelor's in Accounting, a Bachelor's in Business with an emphasis in Information Systems, and a Master’s in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California.
He has over 20 years of tax experience in both the private and public sectors. Before joining GK, his experience included eight years with Big Four public accounting firms and has since transitioned to smaller firms where his focus has been high net worth individuals and their businesses.
His broad experience includes federal, state, international, estate & gift, equity compensation, transactions, and M&A, and FTB and IRS audit representation.
He views himself as doing more than simply preparing tax returns. His success is determined by his client’s success. He aims to add value in all facets of his client’s financial lives and wants to be his client’s trusted advisor.
When Marc is not assisting his clients, he can be found on a mat practicing Brazilian Jiujitsu or traveling to a foreign country (he has recently visited Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Peru). He treasures his wife and two dogs, Bobo and Chewie. And, one of his favorite memories is when he went cage diving with Great White sharks.
Marc is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
