Since he was young, Nico has taken pride in helping others. Growing up as a first generation American with an autistic brother, Nico embraced those responsibilities and challenges and learned from them. The importance of education and empowerment were apparent to Nico as a youth volunteer with the CA Dept. of Developmental Services Regional Centers. Supporting people to achieve basic functions filled Nico with gratitude for his health and opportunities. It was in those early years that Nico realized the importance of working hard and saving for the future.
Nico graduated from UCLA where he was a member of the Model United Nations Travel Team, the Bruin Bridge Team and was the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs 2008 Undergraduate Commencement Speaker. Nico's passion for helping others led him to public service where he consulted for the venerable non-profit organizations Ecology Action and Sustainable Economic Enterprises of Los Angeles. It was during those roles that Nico realized the help people needed with financial planning in all stages of life.
Nico's appreciation for the art & science of financial planning combined with his relentless optimism is a perfect fit for his role as a comprehensive Financial Planner and Investment Advisor at Gerber Kawasaki. He began his career in finance as a Financial Planning Specialist with Olympic Wealth Advisors where he built customized financial plans for individuals, families and small businesses for years. He realized that in order to truly serve the best interests of clients, he needed to be part of an independent advisory firm and in 2017, Nico met with Danilo Kawasaki and joined GK shortly thereafter. Providing advice that is always in the best interest of clients is the fiduciary responsibility that Nico is most proud of. His broad experience in holistic financial planning enables Nico to work with families, business owners and individuals from all backgrounds.
